Post Floating Sauna
on: June 11, 2012, 07:23

Hello,

Im in the process of building a floating sauna from a salvaged pontoon boat that I bought. I want to build her with our local white cedar and just use regular 2 x 4 construction. I am trying to find out how I should insulate it. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Being a novice Im concerned about moisture getting trapped between the walls and causing problems down the road.

Any advise would be most welcome.

Thanks in advance

Hm, I thought I posted a reply - I'd look into SIPs - structural Insulated Panels (aka "stress skin panels") which are a manufactured sandwich of foam and rigid outer panels, ply, OSB, etc.
