Puddle Duck Micro Shantyboat

ShantyboatLiving.com asked Bill Nolen for a quick report on his latest shantyboat project.  He told us, “As I grow older, the desire to sail grows less and less. On Duckworks Magazine I had seen a cute little 4′ by 8′ Micro-Shanty Boat, named “Chigger”. It was built by Pat Johnson and his brother. I decided to build something similar, but to save money, I’m using my Puddle Duck Racer’s sailboat hull as the basic building block.
However, it would have been much faster, and less costly to have started from scratch!”
